Reflections On My Journey To Make A Difference

Here I sit on a dark and overcast London winter’s morning just a week away from one of my favourite times of the year, Christmas, full of hope and optimism for what is coming in 2015.

It is a time for reflection for the journey I have been on over the past 3 years since I gave up employment and started my own business. To say it has been rocky and had its’ ups and downs is a complete understatement. I can honestly say that I went in to it with rose-tinted glasses at the beginning. Boy was I naïve and wide eyed at the start!

Something shifted in me though 18 months ago when I connected with my heart and set about to create a purpose beyond profit that would make a massive difference and leave a lasting legacy. It has been a journey of self-discovery, being completely honest with myself and digging deep into resilience reserves that I didn’t even know I had.

So I sit here approximately 8 weeks away from the soft launch of my baby Profit Pod that I have been working on for the past 18 months, I wanted to share you with you over the next 8 weeks in weekly instalments leading up to the launch the journey for me to this point in the hope that you will find inspiration somewhere in it that may enable the same shift to happen in you that did to me to THINK AND ACT VERY BIG!

I will be completely open and honest about everything, the good and the bad, on the journey so far and on going beyond the launch. Profit Pod could prove a monumental success or could equally be a monumental flop. The answer is unclear at the moment but what I know with absolute certainty is that I am determined to make it happen!

Good luck with your new baby Profit Pod ! One of the things that’s striking about you is that you’re incredibly focussed, but the focus is underpinned by your heart. I am glad you are writing from such an open perspective as you have so much to offer- especially regarding a topic that can otherwise be a bit grey!

Always great to connect with real people who can see beyond the short term economic manifesto and the immediacy of profit. #encouragement from ren0vator

I enjoyed your post and look forward to finding out about what you are launching. I also have been on a journey to unexpected places.. I call it “riding the wave”. Sometimes its the journey to the destination that is equally important! I wish you the very best in your endeavour!

My blog is all about color, inspiring people or helping them find the colors in their lives to improve their world. I will be redesigning the whole website and blog shortly.. but it is presently at [Link removed] and [Link removed]. Enjoy!

Thank you Amy. I agree completely about “riding the wave”. I wish you every success with your journey and hearing more about it over the coming time. I think it is important to share our journeys as it may inspire others to think big and be all that they can.
